With over 10 years of teaching experience at London’s leading Pilates studios, our founder, Charlie, created The Pilates Studio to offer something different: a space that prioritises quality over quantity, and wellness over hype.

We offer small, expert-led classes and private sessions across all major Pilates apparatus, including the reformer, tower, chair and mat. Every session is carefully programmed to suit the needs of our community—whether you’re training for strength, managing an injury, or navigating pregnancy and motherhood.

You’ll find a full suite of Pilates equipment including the Reformer, Cadillac and Wunda Chair, and a team of passionate instructors who are here to guide, support, and challenge you – at your pace.

Charlie is a highly experienced BASI-trained Pilates instructor with over a decade of teaching in some of London’s most respected studios, including The Pilates Clinic, Pilates Squared, and The Loft Pilates in Wandsworth.

Rika Brixie is a BASI-certified Pilates instructor specialising in scoliosis, originally from Bournemouth. After discovering Pilates as a young dancer following her scoliosis diagnosis, she integrated it into her professional ballet training in the USA for injury prevention and conditioning. When she retired from ballet in 2015, she returned to the UK to complete her first Pilates certification with Bonnie Southgate before continuing her training with BASI. Living with scoliosis has given Rika a deep understanding of the body, inspiring her to teach others with the condition and ultimately develop her own advanced education course, Pilates for Scoliosis. She became BASI Faculty in 2020 and now teaches BASI training courses and scoliosis workshops internationally.

Millie started her career in the Psychology world before transitioning to the Pilates industry where she completed her comprehensive instructor training with BASI. Her experience includes mat + reformer classes, 1:1 apparatus sessions and postnatal rehabilitation. Millie’s teaching style is calm but form focussed - she loves to create challenge by focussing on form and providing hands-on adjustments and verbal cues that are specific to each client. She also loves to create flow in her sessions so you can expect exercises to seamlessly flow from one to another, whilst maintaining challenge + endurance. Millie’s favourite thing about Pilates is how great it is for so many different parts of our wellbeing - strength, mobility and the mind!

Rony is a BASI certified Pilates instructor with extensive experience working with clients of all ages. She is passionate about teaching Pilates and the transformation it can bring to everyone’s body and mind. In her sessions she focuses on body awareness, precision and controlled movements while keeping the energy and flow throughout the class.

Emily grew up as a competitive Irish dancer, earning national and international titles over a seventeen-year career before discovering Pilates as a teenager and experiencing its benefits for posture, core strength, and overall performance. After retiring from dance and spending time in the corporate world, she began STOTT Pilates training in 2017 and achieved comprehensive certification in Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chairs, and Barrels in 2019. Alongside her Pilates work, Emily is a Registered Dietitian specialising in eating disorders and disordered eating, supporting clients in building a healthier relationship with food, movement, and their bodies. By integrating her expertise as both a Pilates instructor and RD, she helps individuals cultivate mind-body awareness, trust their bodies, and embrace a flexible, balanced approach to movement while tuning out the noise of diet and wellness culture.
